Selective Determination of Catechol and Hydroquinone at Nafion Modified Electrode

MA Yan-rong(College of Preparatory Education,North University for Nationalities,Yinchuan 750021,China)  
The selective determination of catechol(CAT) and hydroquinone(HQ) at Nafion modified glassy carbon electrode(Nafion/GCE) are studied.The experimental results for Square Wave Voltammetry show that the anodic peak potential of CAT and HQ can be separated by 400mV and the anodic peak current increases at Nafion/GCE more than bare electrode.The method is proposed for selective determination CAT and HQ.Linear calibration curve are obtained for CAT and HQ in the concerntration range of 5.0×10-6~6.0×10-3mol/L and 8.0×10-6~1.0×10-3 mol/L,respectively.The experimental results are satisfactory.
