The Effect of Ginsenoside(GS) on NKC-IFN-IL-2 Regulatory Network and It's Tumor Inhibiting Effect

The main results of the article are as follows:GS(10ug/ml,25ug/ml,50ug/ml)could augment NK activity of murine spleen cells in vitro(p0.05,0.05,0.02 respectively)and had no effect on spontaneous release rate of target cells.Furthermore,γ-IFN and IL-2 were induced by GS(10ug/ml)in murine spleen cell culturecontaining Con-A.NK activity of mice was also promoted by injecting GS(500ug/day)for 8 days(p0.05).Treating GS(500μg/day)in to tumor transplanted mice for 8days could reduce both tumor bearing rate and average weight of tumor,moreover,NKcytotoxicity of mice treated with GS was higher than those control mice.NK cytoto-xicity and production of IFN,IL-2 in tumor transplanted mice were raised up to ahigher level by administering GS(500ug/day,for 8 days) than those of control mice. In conclusion,GS play a positive role on NFC-IFN-Il-2 regulatory network.
