Discussion on Some Problems of Fire Pump Starting

Compared with Code for design of automatic fire alarm system( GB 50116-2013),the new version of Technical code for fire protection water supply and hydrant systems( GB 50974-2014) and Code for design of sprinkler systems( GB 50084-2017) put forward new requirements for fire pump linkage control. In order to make the fire pump start design,installation and debugging not only meet the requirements of the code,but also pass the fire inspection and acceptance in the practical engineering application,this paper first analyzes the rational application of the main start signals of the fire pump,points out the defects of the existing start mode,and puts forward the optimized start scheme. This paper analyzes the mechanism that the delay control and manual/automatic switch positions in the control chart of general fire pump are unreasonable,which is easy to cause the fire pump can not start in time in extreme cases,and puts forward improvement measures.
