Research on the Next Generation Communication Network of Energy Internet Based on SDN

As the future development direction of smart grid, energy internet has caused widespread concern in the international community. This paper aims to construct the next generation power grid communication network which can effectively support the reliable operation of energy internet in the future. Firstly, the architecture and service model of traditional power grid communication network are studied. Based on the requirement characteristics of energy internet in the future, the characteristics of the next generation communication network of energy internet which is developed from traditional power grid communication network are explored. Secondly, the idea of SDN is innovatively introduced. Given its flexibility, efficiency and programmability, the feasibility of communication network of energy internet based on SDN is analyzed. Finally, this paper comprehensively studies the next generation communication network of energy internet based on SDN from three aspects, including the network architecture, key points of network architecture design and network performance optimization.
