Response and transmissibility of strong nonlinear active isolation system

The nonlinear dynamic equation of active vibration isolation body-forced Duffing equation with damp was derived. The energy-iteration method for solving strongly nonlinear autonomous system was modified and adopted to study the strongly nonlinear non-autonomous system, and the periodic response, the relationship between the amplitude and frequency and the relations of transmissibility-frequency according to the new definition of transmissibility were gotten. Through this method the expressions of periodic solutions with more accuracy are gotten and the relations curves between amplitude-frequency and transmissibility-frequency are also obtained. Some useful results about active vibration isolation are obtained as follows. For the hard spring nonlinear system (α0), as the coefficients of nonlinear items increase the transmissibility of displacement increases, the effect of vibration isolation is quite bad. On the contrary, for the soft spring nonlinear system (α≤0), as the absolute value of coefficients of nonlinear items increases, both amplitude and transmissibility of displacement decrease. So the soft spring nonlinear system (α≤0) can be used suitably in the active vibration isolating system.
