Fault diagnosis of roller bearing with inner and external fault based on Hilbert transformation

Based on the fact that modulation can be found in the vibration signal of roller bearing when there are faults in its inner ring or external ring,fault diagnosis method of roller bearing with Hilbert transformation was proposed considering the modulation feature of vibration signal.The demodulation process of vibration signal was introduced.With demodulation calculation,carrier wave and modulation wave were separated.With frequency spectrum analysis of the modulation wave,fault diagnosis of roller bearing with inner or external ring fault was realized.Simulation research on fault diagnosis of inner ring fault and external ring fault was carried out.The results show that Hilbert transformation can extract the modulation wave from vibration signal of roller bearing.Diagnosis results are coincident with real fault.Technique of envelope demodulation based on Hilbert transformation can realize fault diagnosis of roller bearing with inner or external ring fault effectively.
