Water extraction technology of polysaccharide from moso bamboo shoots

The optimal conditions for water extract of polysaccharide from moso bamboo shoots were studied.The water-soluble polysaccharide was extracted with the method of water extraction and alcohol precipitation.The optimal extraction conditions were determined as follows: extraction temperature 90℃,extraction time 3h and solid-liquid ratio 1∶ 25.Under above conditions,the average extraction yield of rude polysaccharide for 3 times was up to 8.47%.The total sugar content of the polysaccharide was 57.71%.After purification,the polysaccharide was identified by IR spectrum,and the protein was also detected.The results showed that there were no protein,starch and polyphenol in polysaccharide from moso bamboo shoots.The water extract method was worth of application.
