The"Jigu 17" is a better millet variety of high-yield, good quality and good taste. By the year 2003, its accumulated extended area has reached 400,000 hm2 and some industrialized processing production has been conducted in accordance with "the green food" standard. A preliminary standardized cultivation and producing system has formed. In the process of the extension and industrialization there are still a few problems need further discussing.
