Research Progress on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing in Monitoring Crop Diseases and Insect Pests

Chen Pengcheng, Zhang Jianhua, Lei Yonghui, Li Meimei(Key Laboratory of Oasis Ecology Agriculture of Xinjiang Bingtuan, Shihezi university, Shihezi 832003)  
It is necessarily to monitor crop diseases and insect pests in integrated pest managerment. This paper elaborates the principium of hyperspectral remote sensing monitoring crop diseases and insect pests. Basing on vegetation index and derivative spectrum, it summarizes the recent domestic and overseas progress of hyperspectral remote sensing monitoring crop diseases and insect pests, and suggests wide application prospects of hyperspectral remote sensing in plant protection. Finally, author proposes the problems that should be solved in the future.
