A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON MULTIFACTORIAL EVALUTION OF NEW CROP VARIETIES WITH THE APPLICATION OF THE GREY SYSTEM THEORY

Liu Luxiang Song Qixin Wang Shiyun (Beijing Agricultural University)  
Mathematical method of the relational grade analysis of the grey system theory and its application in assessing new crop varieties was described with a set of data from a reginal test of winter hybrid wheat. The results indicate that this new method is simpler and more convenient than any other ones and is also effective. In addition, the possibilities of applying the grey relational grade analysis to the other fields of crop breeding have been discussed.
