The study on etiology and epidemiology of cow mastitis was done at forty dairy farms in thirty cities .3650 strains of 24 species of bacteria and funguses were isolated and identified from 3006 milk samples. 2060 strains of 12 species were closely related to cow masritis. The isolation rate of pathogenic bacteria was 62.5%.Bacteria related to mastitis mainly were streptococcus agalactiae (38.11%), streptococcus dysgalactiae (28.20%), staphylococcus aurens (17.43%) eschrichia coil (7.14% ) and streptococccus uberis (4.03%) etc. The checking data system for pathogens of cow mastitis has been set up accordig to dBASEⅢ. The result showed that isolation rate of pathogens of mastitis related to factors such as types of mastitis, different periods of lactation, etc "Procedure in isolation and identification of bacteria of cow mastitis" has been established.This research has provided the scientific base for drawing up the comprehensive measure to prevent and treat cow mastitis and some reliable methods to monitor parhogens in milk.
