Study on the Main Chemical Components Related to Smoking Quality in Flue curred Tobacco

In this study,chemical components of flue curred tobacco leaf samples from different areas of China were analysed and cigarettes made from those samples were tested.The correlation between chemical components and smoking quality was studied by using the following methods:simple correlation analysis and cluster analysis.The results of the study are as following:1.There are correlation between different chemical components;the correlations of different chemical components with smoke quality were found significantly different. 2. Difference between total sugar and reduced sugar had negative effect on the quality of smoking.3.Higher reduced sugar and K 2O content and lower content of total nitrogen ,nicotine and Cl - had good effects on the qualities of smoking.
