In vitro dissolution factors influencing release of huperzine A matrix tablets

Objective To prepare huperzine-A matrix tablets(HA-MT) and study the factors influencing in vitro release of HA-MT.Methods The preparation technique,test methods,medium pH values,rotation speeds of HA-MT and so on were studied by in vitro dissolution experiment,and the release mechanism was studied.Results The release rate depended on the dissolution stirring speed and the medium,and was not affected by test methods and preparation technique.The profiles of HA-MT fit HIGUCHI model.Conclusion The preparation technology of HA-MT is simple and achieves the goal of sustained-release design,and the release mechanism is non-Fick release that coupled diffusion and erosion.
