Multi-Resolution Image Fusion Based on Feature of Local Wavelet Energy

The paper has investigated the theory and methods of wavelet based multi-resolution image fusion,and proposed a novel algorithm of image fusion which chooses local wavelet energy as fusion feature.The issue regarding evaluation of fusion result is also discussed.Simulation experiments demonstrate that the presented image fusion method has offered better results with respect to entropy,cross entropy,root mean square error,as well as peak signal-to-noise ratio.
