Present Situation of Corrosion Protection on the Surface of Magnesium Alloy

Because of high strength,high modulus rate and excellent mechanical perf ormance,the magnesium alloy has received wide recognition in many industries.However,its application fields were restricted by the defects of its high chemical activity and poor cor rosion resistance.So the preventive disposing on the surface of magnesium alloy is very important.In this paper,the present common surface technologies used for improving corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy at home and abroad are introduced.The application prospect of magnesium alloy is discussed also.
