Background Suppression of Radar Seeker in Littoral Environment Based on GIS

A background suppression method based on GIS is proposed in order to suppress the littoral background. Firstly,coastline of the littoral background near the targets is obtained from the GIS. Secondly,the posture between the missile and the island is calculated by the combination of the position and posture information of the missile and the coastline data. Finally,the search map of the seeker is controlled based on the posture,and the littoral background suppression is achieved. The experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective.
