Antagonism of Bjerkandera adusta M-1 against Colletotrichum gloeosprioides and Optimization of Fermentation Conditions

In this study, the biocontrol efficiency of Bjerkandera adusta M-1 strain on Colletotrichum gloeosprioides was investigated by the plate confrontation test and fermentation conditions of M-1 were optimized by the single factor test and the response surface methodology. The results showed that M-1 can obviously inhibit the growth of C. gloeosprioides, with the inhibitory rate of 65.7%, significantly higher than Carbendazim and Thiophanate methyl. The optimized fermentation conditions were C/N of 7.5, pH of 6.5, culture volume 36% of bottling capacity, a culture time of 22 d, a rotational speed of 180 r/min, and a culture temperature of 30 ℃, and the inhibition rate reached 71.1%. In conclusion, it was the first report that B. adusta M-1 strain had a strong antagonistic activity against C. gloeosprioides, and the inhibition rate of fermentation broth was strengthened after the fermentation parameters were optimized. The results laid a theoretical foundation for potential application of M-1 against C. gloeosprioides in practice.
