STUDY ON SAR DISTRIBUTIONS IN THE HYPERTHERMIA SYSTEM OF BIPLATE CAPACITIVE RADIO-FREQUENCY APPLICATOR BY COMPUTER SIMULATIONS AND PHANTOM EXPERIMENT 

Quasi-stationary-state electric field model was used to establish a group of finite-element analysis functions for the radio-frequency capacitive hyperthermia system. Using this model, the 2D- SAR patterns were calculated, and different simulated results using a variety of electrode diameters were compared with the experimental data of the muscle-equivalent phantom. Clinical attentions and applications were discussed.
