A STUDY ON THE CORRELATION BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS AND CHRONIC BACKLEG PAIN

Objective:To analyze the relationship of psychological factors and chronic lumbocrural pain. Method:A total of 71 chronic lumbocrural pain patients (investigation group) and a total of 71 normal control were assessed by MMPI to analyze relative factors. Results:There were significant difference between the results of MMPI scores and normal control, especially on hypochondriasis(Hs), depression(D), hysteria(Hy). Conclusion:Psychological factors were highly related with chronic umbocrural pain patients who had neurotic triad of "Hs-D-Hy".
