Detection of ginsenoside in health foods by HPLC

Application of HPLC to determine Ginsenoside in some Healthy foods The samples were distilled with 60 percent methanol solution .Main ginsenoside Rg1,Rb1,Re,Rb2,Rc.Rd were separated with shorter chromatogram column?lower acetaldehyde volume and nonlinearity grads elution. The conditions of HPLC were as follows:ODS-C 18:4.6nm*150mm,5μm,; the mobile is pure water-acetomitrile ,its speed is 1.0ml/min;166-A ΜV-detector with 203nm wave length.The results showed that:the relative standard deviation of six ginsenosides and total ginsenosides were 0.91%-4.4%, that the minimum detection limit was 5.5μg/g and the recovery of Rg1 was 95.56%-98.52%. It has the advantage of simplicity,repeatablility and was the same with determination in health foods.
