Determination of cholesterol by fluorescence capillary analysis method

Objective:To develop a quick,low cost detection method for cholesterol by using fluorescence capillary analysis(FCA).Methods: The mixed solution of p-cresol,cholesterol oxidase,horseradish peroxidase and cholesterol was inhaled into a capillary.The capillary was inserted into a capillary holder for fluorescence determination.Results: The linear range of the method was 1.0 to 10.0 μmol/L.The linear regression equation was F=280.4+72.3c with r=0.99,and the recoveries were 88.2%~111.0%.Conclusion: The method is low cost and high sensitivity.It can be used to detect the cholesterol in liquid samples.
