Exogenous Betaine Improves the Growth and Photo-synthesis of Wheat Seedlings under Drought/Salt Stress

Betaine could enhance dry weight and water content of plants, increase chlorophyll a fluorescence induction kinetics parameters Fv/Fo, Fv/Fm and qP and decrease qN of leaves of wheat seedling under salt/drought stress. The results showed that exogenous betaine could improve the growth and light energy conversion of wheat seedlings under drought/salt stress.
