Genetic Relationships among Northern Japonica Rice by SRAP

SRAP(Sequence-Related Amplified Polymorphism) was used to assess genetic relationships among 18 varieties of northern japonica rice.Totally 12 random primers selected from 70 primers were used,and 108 bands including 78 polymorphic bands were observed by PCR amplifications.The polymorphic ratio was 72.2%,which showed higher polymorphism.The results of clustering analysis showed that 18 varieties could be classified into four groups,which were basically consistent with pedigree analysis.All the results indicated that SRAP analysis may be used in classification and relationship research in northern japonica rice.
