Bonding Mechanism of Cu/Steel Clad Sheet in Asymmetrical Rolling of Bimetal

The influence of the asymmetrical rolling technique of Cu/steel clad sheet on the morphology of the interface after rolling was investigated. A study on the interface composition variation in asymmetrical rolling of clad sheet was made with TEM. The result showed that the morphology of the interface mostly depends on total reduction and annealing temperature. The bonding mechanism of asymmetrical rolling is distinct from that of rolling cladding at room temperature.
