Micro/Nanometer MoC Powders Prepared by High-Energy Mechanochemistry Method and Coating Abrasion Test

Micro/nano-meter MoC powder was prepared by using a high-energy self-designed mechanochemistry ball mill machine,through the reaction of molybdenum and CO at room temperature.The phase and the particle size of powders were investigated by XRD and SEM.Results showed that when the weight ratio between the balls and the powder charge was 8∶1,and after 30 h of millings,the micro/nanometer MoC powders were obtained.The average particle size was within 100 nm.The ceramal coating was formed on the 40Cr steel base using plasma spray method by mixing micro/nano-meter MoC powder and Ni60 alloy powder with different ratio.Coating abrasion test showed that the wear-resisting property of samples could be improved greatly.
