Study on the strength and stiffness of mill housing

ZHANG Qibing,MA Hongwei(Wuhan Iron & Steel Design & Research General Institute,Wuhan 430080,China)  
The strength and stiffness of mill housing have been studied.The results prove that increasing the height of the crossbeam is the most reasonable solution both in technology and in economy for improving the stiffness of mill housing.
