Relationship between sleep quality and time management disposition, achievement motivation in college students

[Objective]To explore the relationship between sleep quality and time management disposition,achievement motivation in college students. [Methods]200 college students were investigated by the questionnaires,including Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI),Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale(ATMD) and Achievement Motivation Scale(AMS).[Results]There was significant difference in sleep quality between rural and urban college students(t=2.128,P0. 05). The total scores of sleep quality in college students was negatively correlated with all dimensions scores of time management disposition(r=-0.070,-0.052,-0.055),and was negatively correlated with scores of motivation to achieve success(r=-0.085),while it was positively correlated with scores of motivation to avoid failure(r=0.127). The all dimensions scores of time management disposition were significantly positively correlated with scores of motivation to achieve success(r =0.167,0.192,0.315,all P 0.05),and were negatively correlated with the scores of motivation to avoid failure(r=-0.094,-0.101,-0.064).[Conclusion]The status of time management and achievement motivation may influence the sleep quality of college students.
