Property and technology of WC Co fine grain cemented carbide in microwave sintering

Using the microwave sintering new technology, the technology and property of WC Co fine grain cemented carbide in microwave sintering was studied and compared with conventional sintering technology. The results show that microwave sintered WC Co fine grain cemented carbide can reach 99.8% relative density in 1 300 ℃ sintering temperature and 10 min preservation. The microwave sintering not only can reduce sintering temperature and shorten sintering time in large range, but also can decrease micro grain size of products over less one half and increase bending strength, coercive force and hardness in large range compared with conventional sintering.
