Objective: The purpose is to study the ethyl acetate extract from Herba Lysimachiae (EA) on anti gallstone and choleresis effects. Methods: Diet caused bile pigment calculus in cavies, bile screction in rats. Results: EA can significantly promote bile secretion in rats. EA can obviously decrease the precent of bile pigment calculus formaton in cavies,it also can adjust the component in bile and blood serum. Conclusion: EA may be responsible for the choleresis effects of Herba Lysimachiae.EA can inhibite the formation of bile pigment calculus, the mechanism possibly is to prevent the production of gallstone bile and to maintain the common metabolism of cholerythrin ,cholesterol, etc.
