Clinical Observation of Compound Danshen Dropping Pills(CDDP) in Prevention of TIA and Effect on cAMP and cGMP in Plasma

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutical effectiveness of compound Danshen Dropping Pills(CDDP) in prevention of TIA and detect the effect on the content of cAMP and cGMP in plasma. Methods:180 patients with TIA were randomized into three groups equally. The dosage for each group was 10 pills qd, bid and tid respectively. At the same time, the contents of cAMP and cGMP were measured by redio-immunization. Results:There were 6, 5 and 4 patients who developed stroke respectively. 1, 2, and 4 patients suffered with side-effect respectively. Although it was shown that the effect of larger dosage was better than smaller ones, it was the same case with side-effect. Compared by statistics, no significant difference was found (P0.05). The content of cAMP was 21.22 pm/ml±3.94 pm/ml, 22.50 pm/ml±3.16 pm/ml and 23.10 pm/ml±7.70 pm/ml respectively, and cGMP, 3.67 pm/ml±1.18 pm/ml, 4.74 pm/ml±2.12 pm/ml and 4.60 pm/ml±0.70 pm/ml Compared in every tow groups and compared with the normal level of our hospital, no significal difference was found either (P0.05). Conclusion:In the secondary prevention TIA, Compound Danshen Dropping Pills had certain effect and side-effect was not evident, so it could be used in the prevention and treatment in myocardial and cerebral vascular disease.
