Fatty acid analysis of Elsholtzia Ciliata(Thunb.) Hyland seed oil

Physico chemical properties and fatty acid composition of Elsholtzia Ciliata (Thunb.) Hyland seed oil were analyzed by GC. The results show that the crude fat in the seed is 42.38%,the content of linoleic acid, α-linolenic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid is 20.70%, 58.06%, 11.70%, 6.93%, 2.60% of total fatty acid in the seed oil,respectively. The content of unsaturated fatty acid is 90.46%. The result may be helpful for the further development of Elsholtzia Ciliata (Thunb.) Hyland seed.
