IDENTIFICATION OF G3BP DIFFERENTIALLY EXPRESSED IN HUMAN LUNG GIANT CELL CARCINOMA SUBLINES WITH DIFFERENT METASTATIC CAPACITY BY MESSENGER RNA DIFFERENTIAL DISPLAY

Objective The Messenger RNA Differential Display technique was used to identify mRNAs expressed differentially in human lung giant cell carcinoma sublines with different metastatic capacity and to find out the metastasis related gene.Methods Different metastatic potency sublines of human lung giant cell carcinoma PG line was studied by mRNA differential display technique.After Northern hybridization and sequencing,the DNA sequence was checked with GenBank data for homology.Results A clone was isolated,which is uniquely expressed in the low metastatic subline LH7.DNA sequence of the clone was checked in the database of Genbank by Blastn and indicated a significant homology to G3BP(Ras GTPase Activating protein SH3 domain binding protein).Conclusions G3BP is uniquely expressed in the low metastatic human lung giant cell carcinoma subline LH7,so it might have some relationship with cancer metastasis.$$$$
