Current Research Status of Grain Refinement Effect of Zr on Magnesium Alloy

The mechanism of grain refinement effect of Zr on magnesium alloy, the methods of introducing Zr into magnesium alloy, and the loss behavior of Zr during alloy smelting is described in this paper. Development and applications of Zr-containing magnesium alloys are summarized. Research prospects of Zr-containing magnesium alloys are listed finally.
