EFFECT OF COMPATIBILITY OF PSU/PES-C ON THE STRUCTURE AND PERFORMANCE OF ALLOY MEMBRANE

The compatibility of PSU/PES-C is predicted by the entropy of mixing and characterized by the phase contrast microscope. It indicates that the system of both polymers is compatible. But the constitution of the alloy system affects the compatibility, structure and performance of PSU/PES-C alloy membrane. The results show that with the compatibility getting worse, the average aperture grows obviously, the flux increases and the retention rate declines. It is an effective method to adjust the structure, improve the performance of the membrane by changing the compatibility of PSU/PES-C.
