STUDY ON EXTRUSION TECHNOLOGY OF RIGID LOW-FOAMED PVC SHEET

The extrusion process of the rigid low-foamed poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) sheet was studied. The results showed that the sheet density decreased with the increase of blowing agent (AC/Na 2CO 3) content, however, the foam density increased with the increase of blowing agent after the blowing agent reached about 0.8 phr. The sheet possessed excellent cell structure when the contents of foaming telogen and nucleator were 8 phr and 5 phr respectively. The density was low at the screw speed within 38～42 r/min and the extrusion temperature between 180℃ and 190℃.
