Numerical calculated the 3D temperature field of concrete with conjugated conduction method

A finite element method was developed to investigate the effects of a water-cooling pipe on the temperature distribution during the concrete curing age.The water flow field and the concrete temperature field characteristics distributed on the bending pipe was obtained,and the Nusselt convective coefficient numbers distributed alone the pipeline also was analyzed by calculating the conjugated heat transfer between the water pipe and the concrete.The results indicated that the temperature distribution which calculated by two methods were similar,the temperature of conjugated conduction method obviously was higher than the results of the approximate method,and the maximum temperature error was 0.8℃.Although the conjugated method had a long calculation time,the numerical results showed that this method could be reflect the temperature field was affected with the dynamic water flowing in the factual concrete hydration process.
