Reasonability of geometric topology of cable domes

The robustness of a structure generally can be defined as the property of system to maintain its function in risk event,it emphasizes that the geometric topology of structural components should be reasonable.To discuss the reasonableness,firstly the scope of influence of component with local damage is analyzed.By calculating the magnitude of the scope of damage influence,the relative importance for each component can be determined.Based on the present analysis,the optimization of gemetric topology of cable domes to reduce the scope of damage influence of components can be further considered,which will then improve the robustness of the structures.Finally,as a example,a Geiger cable is introduced to describe the present method.
