3D nonlinear finite element analysis on short rectangular concrete-filled steel tube columns under axial compression

In this paper,using the powerful structure finite element analysis software ANSYS,the 3D models of short rectangular concrete-filled steel tube columns are founded by 3D solid elements firstly.Considering material non-linear and geometry non-linear question simultaneously,simulates and analyzes the capacity behaviors of rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular short columns under axial compression through reasonable geometry modeling,meshing and correct loading method.The results of finite element analysis are in accord with experiment results well.It is testified that the material constitutive relationship is suitale,the nonlinear finite element analysis method is correct and feasible.So that it can guides availably and supplements tests.
