Static and dynamic load tests for the Ayeyarwaddy(Pakokku) Bridge,Myanmar

There are diffences in load tes between the rail-cum-bridgets and the other bridges,due to the different characteristics of the road load and rail load and regulatory requirements to understand the fundamental characteristics of Pakokku steel truss bridge in Myanmar and evaluate it's load-carrying capacity,field static and dynamic load tests were carried out on the bridge.The test results show that,a good agreement is achieved between the experimental and analytical results,and the inherent vibration character of bridge structure meets the railway bridge code requirements.The bridge under the planned test loads is in the elastic state,which indicates that the bridge has an adequate strength and stiffness,satisfy the designed load requirements.Test method and can be used in similar bridge structure.
