Test research on the ring ferrule effect of RC column strengthened with dry angle steel

With different ring to angle steel strengthened,four RC short columns were tested under static load.This paper researches that the mechanism of the ring ferrule effect which was generated by the RC column strengthened with angle steel,and to the influence of RC columns' bearing capacity.It shows that:the ring ferrule effect which was generated by the steel structure formed with angle steel and compose board to the concrete column,improve the bearing capacity of the reinforced specimens,and it should accrued the influence of the ring ferrule effect when calculate the reinforced specimens' bearing capacity;With the increasing of the number of compose board,its bearing capacity improves more obviously;Compare with the axial compressive column,the effect of the ring ferrule effect to the eccentric column is not obviously.
