Interstorey shear force distribution of high-rise buildings under horizontal loading

Through the establishment of the improved wall-frame analytical model for collaborative work,the interstorey shear force distribution of the undamaged structure is found and the main factors to determine the interstorey shear force distribution are identified.Based on the model,how the shear wall destruction causes changes in the structure period,seismic force and frame shear force distribution is studied,and it's preliminarily found that adjustment in the design code to make the frame as the secondary lateral force resist system of the structure is unreasonable.Then the interstorey shear force distribution for an actual project is studied,for both the case of the frequent earthquake and the case that spandrels,shear walls are damaged in rare earthquake,and find that the seismic shear force of the frame in the rare earthquake process is likely to exceed the adjustment value in the code.The current adjustment method may not guarantee that the frame can prevent the seismic collapse of the structure.Finally,it points out that the design to make the frame as the secondary lateral force resist system of the structure,could not simply through adjustment of the shear force of frame in elastic analysis to achieve,but should be the based on structural collapse simulation.
