Hybrid simulation testing technology with OpenFresco framework

The method of hybrid simulation which combines the numerical analysis with the physical testing is the advanced form of existing structure experimental techniques.Especially,regarding the physical testing models as a special portion,which can be embedded in the numerical model,hence,hybrid simulation also can be considered as a novel analysis.In this paper,with the OpenFresco software architecture,we developed the hybrid simulation system which achieved the data exchange between MTS 793 system and OpenSees.In order to study the stability of this testing technology,a hybrid simulation of a single-story portal frame was conducted,the comparison between the experimental results and numerical results shows that the hybrid simulation testing technology presented in this paper satisfies the requirement of structure seismic test.
