The method of joint for calculation internal force of frame structures under vertical loads

Considering the number of members,linear stiffness of every member and beam-column stiffness ratio at distal rigid nodes of member,a unified formula has been derived to calculate rotational stiffness and transmission coefficient of beam end.The frame structure is divided into some single joint structures to compute its internal force under vertical loads.The method proposed in this paper has not any scope limitation of beam-column linear stiffness ratio.This method has the advantages of high accuracy,small computational amount and wide range of use.
