Research of the influence of loading on the durability of concrete bridge piles

Durability design is an important means to ensure concrete structures achieving their design life span. As a result of unconsidered of loading's expect on the durability design of concrete constructor. Many of them have to be overhauled far from reaching their design life span. To illustrate the impact of loading on the durability performance of concrete piers,the resent research results about loading's impact on concrete members resistance to freeze / thaw,carbonation and chloride ion erosion has been introduced by combine them with the form of loading on piers. A conclusion has be made that loading is an important factor on the performance of concrete piers. The lack of the research on this field has been point out,also.
