Experimental investigation on unixial compressive test of raw-soil masonry mud

Raw-soil masonry is generally constructed by mud,the mechanical properties of masonry mud have great influence on the seismic behavior of the wall,but comparing to bulk,the research of mechanical properties in masonry mud is almost blank. In this paper,the additive ratio of raw-soil masonry mud were researched. Masonry mud specimens were produced with different moisture contents,different contents of wheat straw and lime,by 9 groups of uniaxial compression test,the ultimate bearing capacity and peak strain of different additive ratio mud bulk were obtained. The influence of different admixture and different ratio of masonry mud was researched on strength,deformation,failure pattern and the process of destruction. The results of this research put forward a proposal of masonry mud proportioning,providing a reference for the research of raw soil structure wall mechanical properties and the engineering application of adobe buildings.
