The influence of steel ratio on axial compression performance of rubber concrete filled steel tubular short column

Rubber concrete filled steel tube( RCFT) is a new structure. That is mixed rubber particles in the concrete filled steel tube( CFT). The energy dissipation capacity of RCFT increases because of viscoelasticity of rubber,and RCFT has the good ductility and the high bearing capacity. The parameter was steel ratio,12 rubber concrete filled steel tubular short columns were designed,and axial compression test was carried out. According to the unified theory,the calculation formula of axial bearing capacity of RCFT was established. The test result showed that the failure mode was ring buckles appeared around column. The RCFT showed high deformation capacity and late bearing capacity during the whole loading process. The axial compressive bearing capacity of RCFT obviously increases as steel ratio increases.
