Shaking table test scheme design of ground fissure model in Xi'an

In order to study the dynamic responses of y-shape ground fissures in Xi'an under strong earthquake,this paper proposed the shaking table model test scheme design,and then the model was validated through ANSYS finite element analysis. The similarity relations of the soil model and prototype were firstly determined,and then the physical property parameters of soil samples were obtained through the static and dynamic property test. The fabrication of shaking table model was described in detail. The difference of the first order frequency between the finite element modal analysis and the calculation was less than 5%,indicating that the finite element modeling method of this paper was feasible and valid. The finite element analysis results showed that ground uneven settlement occurred in the ground fissure site,and there were obvious hanging wall effects. The presented shaking table model test scheme could be selected for the research of the effect of y-shape ground fissures on ground dynamic responses under severe seismic action,and could be referred to for other similar tests.
