Experimental study on seismic behavior of frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure with different lengths of haunch

To analyze the influence of different lengths of haunch on the seismic behavior of frame-supported short-leg shear wall structures,two sets of four specimens were tested under vertical loading and horizontal cyclic loading. On the basis of experiment and analysis,the seismic parameters of the stress mechanics,damage shape,ductility factor,hysteretic characteristics and distortion ability were researched. The test results show that the increasing the length of the haunched parts can make the strain of longitudinal reinforcement of the transfer beam more gentle and the strain mutation portion move to the middle,which helps delay the cracks of the beam and improve the seismic behavior. But the length of the haunch would be limited.
