Preparation of submicron glass powder and study on its hydration properties

The waste glass powder grinding to achieve submicron particle size,and quality to replace part of cement made of glass powder specimen,by testing the strength of different curing age,and by using electron microscope( SEM) and X-ray diffraction( XRD),the activity and hydration mechanism of submicron waste glass powder were analyzed. The research shows that the submicron powder glass powder has volcano activity in the absence of any external cause of the excitation,at the age of 28 d,the activity of submicron glass powder with different substitution rate is more than 75%,especially in the substitution rate is less than 30%,the activity index is above 85%; with the increase of submicron glass powder substitution rate,calcium hydroxide in the hydration products significantly reduces,but the decreasing trend of hydrated calcium silicate gel( C-S-H) is not obvious,that show submicron glass powder has occurred volcano ash reaction at 28 d,and the reaction absorption of calcium hydroxide crystals.
