Experimental study on the preloading-dynamic compaction combined reinforcement of dredger fill in Caofeidian

Aimed at designing preloading-dynamic compaction combined method on dredger fill in Caofeidian Industrial Zone,the author has finished such optimal designs as layout of sand well,size of filling sand,drainage arrangement,preloading weight and preloading time,ram energy and ram times. Meamwhile,the major and minor factors affecting the reinforcement are determined by the principle of orthogonal test and similarity theory. The reinforcement mechanism of the preloading and dynamic consolidation method is revealed. The researches show that settlement produced by dynamic compaction is more than that produced by the instantaneous pressure and primary consolidation. Moreover,the reduction of water content in the deep and the added value of allowable bearing capacity caused by dynamic consolidation are bigger than the corresponding value.
